Description

Our full length pipe expander is used for expansion of whole steel pipe, so that the roundness of entire steel pipe is improved. The fundamental differences between this pipe expanding machine and our mid-frequency induction pipe expander are the objects for processing and different processing technologies. The mid-frequency induction pipe expanding machine is mainly used in production of seamless pipes and straight seam pipes, it makes a small-diameter steel pipe expanded into large diameter steel pipe, e.g. pipe with diameter of 114mm into diameter of 168mm, pipe with diameter of 325mm into diameter of 426mm or 508mm. We can also customize molds according to customers’ requirements of any other non-standard steel pipe, such as pipe with diameter of 120mm, 130mm, 150mm and 170mm etc. all can be expanded into larger diameter steel pipe.
Our full length pipe expanding machine is one of the main equipment used in production line of large-caliber LSAW pipe, such as UOE pipes and JCOE pipes, or in production line of large-caliber industrial stainless steel pipe. This pipe expanding unit is disposed inside the pipe, it is used after processes of external welding, X-ray inspection and ultrasonic flaw detection, and before water pressure test. With mechanical expanding for welded steel pipe, the inner stress produced in the pipe forming process can be reduced, and achieves required roundness and straightness according to steel pipe standards. Generally expanded diameter ranging from 5mm to 30mm.
